estaurant booking is advisable. Here at the Cumberland we have a comfortable restaurant open to both residents and non-residents with provision for 20 covers. All food is freshly prepared in our own kitchens (vegetarians are well catered for) - a dining experience with a difference in a place full of character. Ample car parking available.

The restaurant is also used for residents breakfast (full English or continental) and is also used for our popular Sunday Roasts (these can also be served in the 'Lounge Bar' if you desire). These were the subject of 'rave reviews' by a travel writer from the Newcastle Chronicle newspaper (succulent meats, excellent sweets and outstanding value for money!) At £8.75 for two courses, we agree.

Private parties (weddings, groups and functions) catered for, up to 40 covers seated or 90 - 100 buffet-style.

On warm summer evenings some prefer to sit outside on the patio to enjoy their meal in the country air and admire the tranquility of the surroundings.
