The recent cold snap has caused some disruption to normal life, but we are still open for business. We have had 100cm of lying snow in Alston, but still deliveries are getting through.

The local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Branch has awarded the Cumberland 'Pub of the Year' for 2010, the second year running. This accolade enables us to progress to the next round of the National competition. Watch this space!
In 2009 we came runners up to the Watermill in Ings, which went on to represent Cumbria in the Regional competition.
The Cumberland Quoits team managed not to come last this year, and with a strong mid-season surge, we were placed in mid table. The link on the left will take you to more information about traditional Pub Games
